First Wednesday Group: open discussion group

Looking for a space to explore current events and thought-provoking topics through a church-based lens? The First Wednesday Group meets on (you guessed it!) the first Wednesday of most months, offering friendly, informal discussions in a welcoming atmosphere.

🗓 When & Where?

  • Mina Hogan Room, Parish Hall (Langham Road)
  • 12:45 – 2:15 pm
  • Bring your own packed lunch – we’ll provide the Fairtrade tea and coffee!

💬 What We Talk About
Each month, we discuss a pre-chosen topic, announced in advance via email, the pew sheet, parish newsletter, and e-bulletin. The focus is on exchanging ideas, learning from one another, and building friendships—not on solving issues or debating to win.

Everyone is welcome, whether you’re a long-time parishioner or new to the area, of any faith or none. No booking required—just drop in!

Traherne Reading Group

Join us as we explore the works of Thomas Traherne (1633–74) and his contemporaries, including Henry Vaughan, George Herbert, and John Donne.

  • Three series a year – each with six sessions
  • The first session of each series focuses on Traherne
  • The final session often includes sharing our own Traherne-inspired poetry, prose, or memoirs

📍 When & Where?

  • Thursdays | 1:15 – 2:45 pm
  • Mina Hogan Room
  • Held in January–February, April–May, and September–October

All are welcome—come and explore the beauty of 17th-century devotional poetry with us!

Sustainability Group

In Teddington Parish, we believe that caring for our planet is an essential part of our faith and community life. Sustainability is at the heart of our parish, and we are committed to making a positive impact—both locally and globally.

🌍 Our Sustainability Group was formed in late 2020, driven by the growing awareness of climate change and our responsibility to protect the natural world. Since then, we’ve hosted a range of initiatives.

We’re always looking for volunteers, ideas, and fresh perspectives! If you'd like to support our work or suggest an event, please get in touch at sustainability@teddingtonparish.org.
