Teddington Churches Together for Songs of Praise
One of the many highlights of Teddington 800 has been the Songs of Praise. This gave real meaning to Churches Together in Teddington (CTE) with people coming to St Mary's to sing the top ten hymns or songs chosen in a poll some weeks previously.
The St Mary's choir was supported by singers from other churches, with musical support and accompaniment by MASH, a small group from Sacred Heart. A particular joy was the presence of a large choir from St Mary's and St Peter's School, led by Kelly Haines, enabling us to perform four different spiritual songs.
The favourites were:
- Here I am Lord
- How Great Thou Art
- Be Still for the Presence of the Lord
- In Christ Alone
- Amazing Grace
- Dear Lord and Father
- Be Thou my Vision
- Praise my Soul
- Guide me O Thou Great Jehovah = When I survey the Wondrous Cross
- Love Divine = Shine Jesus Shine
