Month of Prayer for the Nation Begins 8 November
The Archbishops of Canterbury and York are calling for us to take part in a month of prayer for the nation during these difficult times. Their support is provided in this letter. The month of prayer will run from Sunday 8th November until Sunday 6th December and you can find out the daily theme for prayer here.
We’re keen for our parish to take part in the Archbishops' proposal to pray and fast. The day especially being set aside each week is Thursday with the following suggestions:
- Pray at Morning Prayer (8.30am) and Evening Prayer (6pm) either in your own home or together on zoom:

- Meeting ID: 992 902 759
- Password: OvDrup
- Fast Thursday morning, so that the first meal will be at lunchtime
- Abstain from all animal products on Thursday (similar to the Coptic churches)
‘We know that we are in the faithful hands of the risen Christ who knows our weaknesses, tiredness and struggles and whose steadfast love endures forever.’
