Pastoral Visits

The Parish Visiting Team is made up of members of our congregation who are committed to reaching out to those in our parish who may be experiencing isolation or difficulty. The team offers:

  • Support for Baptism Families – Welcoming families as they prepare for this special sacrament, offering guidance and friendship throughout their journey.
  • Visits to the Elderly and Housebound – Providing companionship to those who may struggle to get out and about, ensuring they remain connected to the church and the wider community.
  • Comfort for the Unwell – Offering a caring presence and a listening ear to those facing illness or recovering from hospital stays.
  • Friendship for the Lonely – Simply being there for a conversation, a cup of tea, or a friendly chat can make a big difference to someone feeling alone.

Our visits can take place in homes, care facilities, or even in hospital settings, depending on individual circumstances. Each visit is tailored to the person’s needs, whether they would like a one-off visit or ongoing support.

In a busy world, it can be easy to feel forgotten or disconnected, especially for those who find themselves unable to participate in church life as they once did. The Parish Visiting Team exists to remind people that they are not alone—that they are an integral part of our church family, even if they are unable to attend services in person.

Through simple acts of kindness, prayer, and presence, we hope to bring comfort and companionship to those who need it most. We believe that God’s love is made known through the care we show to one another, and our visiting ministry is an extension of this love in action.

If you, or someone you know, would appreciate a visit from the team—whether for a chat, prayer, or pastoral support—please do not hesitate to get in touch.
