Alpha Course
The Alpha course is a series of interactive sessions to discuss life and the Christian faith in an informal, fun and friendly environment, a great opportunity to take time out of the business of everyday to give time to the big questions of life. Alpha is for exploring issues of faith with people who are inquisitive and open to listening to the questions and experiences of others.
Pilgrim Courses
We regularly run Pilgrim Courses in the daytime and evenings. This major new teaching and discipleship resource from the Church of England aims to help every local church create a place where people can explore the Christian faith together and see how it can be lived out each day. Pilgrim takes a different approach to other Christian programmes by approaching the great issues of faith not through persuasion, but participation in a pattern of contemplation and discussion with a group of fellow travellers.
Pilgrim Courses are comprised of two stages:
Both stages contain four courses, each comprised of six 90-minute sessions, focusing on a major theme of Christian life, with prayer, Bible readings, discussion and reflection.
Lent Courses
Lent is always a good time to reflect on your faith. Why not come to one of our Lent Discussion Groups led by one of our clergy team.
Advent Courses
Our Advent course runs over three Wednesdays in December. We focus on learning, discussion, sharing and meditation based around a theme.
First Wednesday Club
This monthly discussion group meets year-round in the Mina Hogan Room from 12.45-2.15pm. Bring a packed lunch and a friend on the first Wednesday of the month. Tea and coffee are provided.
The topics discussed tend to be the hot issues of the day. See What’s On for details of forthcoming meetings and subjects for discussion.
All are welcome to join us.
