Sunday 25th June saw St Mary with St Alban Church compete in the Teddington Pram Race for the first time, raising £445 in sponsorship and winning the ‘Best Dressed’ award.

A team, including vicar Rev. Joe Moffat, participated to celebrate the Parish’s 800th anniversary, wearing medieval costumes from 1217 and pushing an old funeral cart – known as a ‘bier’.

Along the route which started at the Masons Arms and ended at the Village Fair, adult passers-by enjoyed small glasses of the Vicar’s 800 homebrew from the team’s pram which was named ‘Beer-on-a-bier’.
