The St Mary with St Alban’s Church Recording project, sponsored by Arts Society Richmond, is under way, coordinated by Robin Field-Smith. There has been considerable interest from many quarters - the congregation, Arts Society members and local residents, many of whom have very pertinent skills and knowledge.

Volunteers are grouped to work on areas such as memorials, textiles, and woodwork. Photographers, some from the Twickenham Photographic Society, will cover all areas, as will data inputers and collators (more of these needed).

We also still need people willing to help with refreshments for volunteers and offers of one morning/afternoon a month would be very welcome.

After three meetings and training sessions, the 'real' work is set to start. It is hoped that the group work will enable friendships and mutual support to flourish. While members of the congregation may know each other, the project is a way of reaching out to other members of the community.
